Fire Windows: 1978_WaterColor1 by Carol Hershey

9/14/08_1978_WaterColor1_Poem by Betina Hershey Russo

Fire windows
Outside - thick nothingness
Doubt
The chill of winter smoked out

How long can you last
Inside the furnace
Glare
Red, angry, glowing coals
When there is an immense nothing
Waiting for you
To leap into
And disappear in
